Robert DiPrimio, president and general manager of the Valencia Water Company, will be leaving the water retailer next month for a job with a San Gabriel Valley utility, it was reported Wednesday.

“Bob DiPrimio has helped grow Valencia Water Company into a premier organization that delivers high-quality water at reasonable prices to its customers,” Greg McWilliams, president of Newhall Land Development Inc., said in a news release Wednesday.

“His leadership has kept Valencia Water Company in the forefront of conservation, quality and cost,” McWilliams said.
Valencia Water is a wholly owned subsidiary of Newhall Land, and one of four water purveyors in the Santa Clarita Valley.

DiPrimio, who has worked for Valencia Water for 17 years, is joining San Gabriel Valley Water Company, a large investor-owned public water utility with operations in California and Arizona.

Valencia Water serves the communities of Valencia, Stevenson Ranch and portions of Castaic and Saugus.
