Guests networked and mingled as Frank Competelli, owner of Frankie’s, welcomed the crowd and asked them to come back and try his restaurant.
Competelli has operated a restaurant on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles for the past 20 years. The Frankie's in Valencia will be his second restaurant.
Among those attending the mixer were Shelley Hann who was celebrating her birthday at the event.
“This is a great place to have a mixer,” Hann said.
Guests mixed it up on the patio outside and inside the new restaurant, which features classic overstuffed booths in red and black.
“The food is great, I can’t wait to try the clam bar,” said chamber member Dennis Poore, of Showdown Performing Arts.
Former Chamber chairwoman Pam Ingram said she enjoys attending the mixers which offer mixer guests a chance to connect with members of the SCV business community.
“I like the networking and I like to meet and talk to other businesses in town,” Ingram said. “It keeps us current with the business community and it is a nice social atmosphere.”
