Santa Clarita Valley metro riders will begin paying more money to ride the train starting Thursday. In a meeting last week, Metrolink officials voted to increase fees by 6 percent to help balance a $16 million budget shortfall. The plan will raise an additional $3.2 million in fiscal year 2010-2011.
