State government hard at work

Thank you so much, California Federation of Women, for bringing to my attention the efforts of the hard-working members of the California Assembly (80 members) and the California Senate (40 members).

Here’s what going on in Sacramento:

Senate Bill 1449, authored by San Francisco’s Mark Leno (democrat, Third District) reclassifies marijuana possession of less than 1 ounce from a misdemeanor to a simple infraction with a penalty of a maximum $100.

Senate Bill 44 coming from the pen of Christine Kehoe, democrat from San Diego’s 39th District, introduces a bill that would establish June as LGBT month pride month. What’s that? Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.

Our Assembly is also hard at work.

A.B. 1934 by Lori Saldana, Democrat from San Diego’s 76th District, would outlaw the carrying of unloaded handguns in public.

A.B. 1998, by Julia Browley, 41st-district Democrat from Santa Monica/Malibu/Agoura, brings to the floor a bill that would ban plastic bags at groceries, pharmacies, convenience and liquor stores.

Don’t these ideologically challenged statists know California has a $20 billion deficit?

These meddling nanny-socialists have and continue to wreak havoc on California.

Throw them out in November
