Search and Rescue looking for recruits

The Santa Clarita Valley Search and Rescue Team is hosting a recruitment seminar on Wednesday for local residents interested in joining the volunteer safety team.

The seminar is set for 7 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Valley Civic Center, at the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and Valencia Boulevard.

The team was formed to assist the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in search and rescue work and to promote safety in local mountains and outdoor recreational areas. The team is looking to recruit men and women to add to a group of highly-trained individuals from all walks of life.
