On being noncritical

What is with Paul Henry Sibek and his repeated references to “non-critical thinkers” in his frequent attacks on Republicans and conservatives (“Palin/Paul,” June 10)? Surely, he must consider himself and his ilk to be  “critical thinkers,” and they certainly are.

While there are alternate definitions of “critical,” the first one listed in the dictionary is the one which most aptly applies to Mr. Sibek and his ilk: “Critical — inclined to find fault or to judge severely, often too readily.”

So I guess being a “non-critical thinker” is not so bad.
