Sheriff’s deputies arrested three people over the weekend who were allegedly doing drugs on a Canyon Country street near two cars they had stolen, one of which they had stripped, sheriff’s deputies said Monday.

Ralph Leslie, 39, of Canyon Country, was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. He also faces potential misdemeanor charges — possession of burglary tools and hypodermic needles.

Adrienne Ramirez, 33, of Canyon Country, was arrested on potential charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of hypodermic needles. Christian Orozco, 21, of Palmdale, was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and receiving known stolen property.

At about 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies detained the trio after someone reported seeing them doing drugs in a parked car, according to a Sheriff’s Department statement.

With help from the area’s neighborhood watch representatives, deputies were able to recover one of the stolen vehicles — a Honda Prelude — and find a nearby house that contained parts stripped from the vehicle.

A search of the house uncovered more auto parts, methamphetamine, Xanax, hypodermic needles, car stereo equipment and numerous tools, the statement said.

The second vehicle, a Honda Civic, was recovered Sunday morning in Los Angeles.

All three suspects were on probation at the time of the arrest. Leslie is being held without bail. Ramirez and Orozco are being held in lieu of $10,000 and $25,000 bail, respectively.

Court proceedings for all three are pending.
