What about the rest of Canyon Country?

Let me begin by saying that I used to attend the so-called “Canyon Country” Community Action Committee meetings. I stopped going because it seemed to several of us at these meetings that it was all about the Whites Canyon area, except when they wanted to complain about signage at shopping centers or a particular business.

Apparently we were correct. They finally got their park in Whites Canyon. And they made sure that one of their neighborhoods received personal help in Alan Ferdman’s neighborhood by having a free block party!
The city has so much money to spend — please spread it around.

When I was attending these meetings I tried to get help with several city code issues but seemed to get put off because we live in a mobile home park and border another one, and “they don’t govern those.” But you know what? We live here in this city, we pay taxes here, we shop here, and we work here. We all deserve a block party. The only help we receive is when we need to call the Sheriff’s department or emergency personnel. But we have illegal day care centers, the roosters are crowing day and night, etc. (I didn’t know we lived on a farm!)

When is the city of Santa Clarita and the CCCAC going to recognize the rest of Canyon Country?
