First place
There are so many books in the world. It would take forever to count all of them all! But which one is your favorite book? Do you like adventure or mystery? Humor or fantasy? Love or one with true facts? Well, I like to read mystery, adventure and fantasy. My most favorite book I've read this year is called "The Wright 3." It's about three sixth graders that try to save a house that a man built. Do they save the house before it's too late? Read the book to find out!

There is a sequel to it called "The Calder Game." "The Wright 3" is a sequel to the first book, "Chasing Vermeer." I recommend you read them! The author of these books is Blue Balliett if you are looking to find one of these books. Enjoy reading! It's a really great book!

Second place
"A Taste of Black Berries" was a great but sad book. I also liked it because there was always action going on. The characters were so realistic. It was also interesting to read. And I'm surprised it is not non-fiction. The kid has the same name as my cousin. I wish there was more of them. And that is why it is the best book I read this year.
Ashley Gaudenti

Third place
My name is Amanda Tarello, and my favorite book that I read this year is "Where the Red Fern Grows." It's a very good book and sad at some parts, like the ending. But even though it's sad, I really liked it. My homeroom teacher, Mrs. Edison, read it with her excel class, and I heard it was really good. So at the book fair, I got it and it was an awesome book. I think if you are in the fifth grade or higher, you need to read it!

I can't believe I stayed up all night reading! Do you want to know what my favorite book is? Well, I love "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." It has everything. It has action, adventure, humor, it answers the mystery of who killed Harry's parents and has a surprising twist in the end. They explain everything in the beginning but you should first read "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix" just like I did. I hope you read it soon.
Denise Anciola

My favorite book is the "Diary of the Wimpy Kid." If you are wondering which book in the series I like, I like all of them. I like them because they are funny. Also, I am going to watch the movie. Some books are boring, but this book is really fun to read. And that is why I love this book.
John Gabumpa

My favorite book I ever read was "Bunnicula." "Bunnicula" is about a family that finds a bunny at the movie theater and when they bring it home, their cat, Chester, thinks the bunny is a vampire and is dangerous to their household.

My favorite part is when they put Chester in his yellow sweater and kissed him on his nose. Every time they gave Bunnicula food, Chester made sure he didn't eat it. And their dog Harold makes sure Bunnicula ate it.
Cameron Rossi

I think the greatest book in the world is "Chasing Vermeer." The whole book is about a mystery. The characters Calder and Petra are trying to find out who stole the Vermeer painting. At the end, they found out the glitter man stole the painting, and Calder and Petra found the painting using their friendship and their intelligence. This is a little summary of the story "Chasing Vermeer."

My favorite book that I read this year was "Grim Grotto." It is the 11th book of 13 in the "Series of Unfortunate Events." It is about the Bedlaires who had their parents killed in a fire and a villain named Count Olaf is trying to steal the millions of dollars that the family owns.
Sean McAugh

Do you want to know what my favorite book is? It is "Witch of Blackbird Pond." I like this book because it's exciting. My favorite part of the book is the end. The book starts off boring but toward the end, it gets really exciting. If you asked me what you should read, I'd recommend "Witch of Blackbird Pond."
Amber Currie

Hmmm ... What is my favorite book I read this year? "Witch of Blackbird Pond," That's it! That's my favorite book I read this year. I like, I mean, love this book because it's not like the other books. People say that it is boring and not a good story, but I think it was really good. Of course, my favorite character is Kit because she is the main character. Sorry, but I'm not telling you the story; you'll just have to read it yourself.
Toni Bito

I love to read! I have so many different favorite books but my favorite book is "The Tale of Desperaux." I love that book. It's like a movie or TV in your head. It's so cool! The book is about adventure, love and bravery. I've already seen the movie. I recommend you read this book because it's a really, really good one.

It's so good that I'm reading it right now!

P.S. Another thing I like to read is The Signal newspaper! I'm a big fan!
