Protecting the right of the peoples

Regardless of your feelings about marriage or your party affiliation, the Office of Attorney General is supposed to protect the rights of the people and uphold the laws of the state.

Apparently, Jerry Brown did not read this prior to running for office, as he has fought against (same-sex) marriage since it (Proposition 8) was passed, and promised to overturn the vote of the people.

Now tell me this: If you voted for an issue and won, would Jerry Brown uphold that vote if he disagreed with it?

From his actions, I think not.
