City of Santa Clarita groundskeeper Alfredo Moraca drives a backhoe with an automated seeding machine through Central Park in Saugus on Monday. The vehicle cuts a furrow, shoots in the seed and then compacts the earth on top. The city closed several fields at Central Park for reseeding with tough, waterwise Bermuda grass that will be ready in about three weeks.
