This month's First Thursday Art Walk is today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Main Street between Market and 6th streets in Old Town Newhall 91321.

"Start out with visiting the Farmer's Market on Main Street, then make your way to the various businesses along Main that are featuring art," Jeff Barber, arts and events coordinator for the city of Santa Clarita, said in an e-mail.

"Visit the participating shops and theaters and enjoy FREE light refreshments. Also, enjoy all of the street performers playing all types of music for your listening pleasure.

"Complete the evening with dinner at the El Trocadero Mesquite Steakhouse with good food and hospitality." The restaurant offers a Farmer's Market Special Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Margaritas are $3.

Barber invites all local musicians to "just show up and play."
