College of the Canyons' Small Business Development Center holds a workshop that teaches how to start up a small business. Cost is $30 with a $2 parking fee.

15th Annual Student Art Exhibition
What:
The College of the Canyons Art Gallery hosts the 15th Annual Student Art Exhibition, featuring an estimated 75 pieces of art created by students from the college's art, graphics and multimedia design, photography and animation departments.
When: Today through May 22. Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Funeral services

Funeral services for sheriff's Deputy Cameron Glover, 27, who died in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday.

Cooperative Parenting and Divorce
What:
Cooperative Parenting and Divorce program is designed to assist divorcing or divorced parents in reducing parental conflict, and the risk factors that influence the child's post-divorce adjustment as well as improve the quality of the parental relationship in situations of joint custody, separate maintenance, change of custody, and paternity.
When: Tuesdays in May, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The California Department of Transportation closes Highway 14 and Interstate 5 lanes, ramps and connectors as part of a $161-million improvement project to construct carpool lanes and a direct carpool lane connector at the I-5 and Highway 14 interchange.
