I'm not un-American

For several weeks, if not months, I was told by certain members of Congress, via the media, that “Americans did not want health-care reform to pass.”

I was insulted each time this statement was made. Please note, this is one American who wanted it.

At no time during this heated debate should I or any U.S. citizen have been considered a non-American because we fought for something we felt every decent human has the right to.

Congress, stop generalizing and insulting a great number of the people you represent.

Just because we don’t have the same opinion as some of you, does not make us un-American. All of America was speaking during this important issue, it’s just that some of us spoke louder than usual, and that’s something you aren’t accustomed to.
