Revamped city website goes live on Monday

The city of Santa Clarita will launch its newly redesigned website on Monday, May 3. The site will still be located at its current address,, and will feature enhanced features along with a streamlined look and feel.

The newly revamped website includes a host of user-friendly attributes, including drop-down menus categorized by "Residents," "Businesses," and "Visitors," plus a "City Hall" section with links to city departments, services, public meeting notices and press releases, as well as information on the City Council, commissions and more.

The new homepage offers quick updates on breaking news and upcoming events, as well as an online services section and an "I Want To" page with quick links to help direct site visitors to the information they seek.

"The city of Santa Clarita strives to keep current with technological advancements, allowing staff to better serve residents with optimal speed and efficiency," Mayor Laurene Weste said. "The newly redesigned now reflects the city's progressive technological stance while offering even more tools to help meet the needs of the community better than ever before."

The city of Santa Clarita holds a number of awards for its social media savvy, and the new city website illustrates these efforts. Community members simply click the drop-down menu, titled "Santa Clarita 24/7" to view quick links to, the city's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.

Community members can also use the "Santa Clarita 24/7" page to utilize the city's web-based e-notify, e-permits, e-plans and e-service request platforms and programs.
