Friendly Valley church service
What: The Friendly Valley Community Church (United Methodist) hosts its Sunday service. Guest speaker Mike Wolf will present "What's With All These Sheep?" Fellowship and coffee will follow the service. All are welcome.

The Gentle Barn Foundation

What: Caltrans, is closing Highway 14 freeway and Interstate 5 lanes, ramps and connectors as part of a $161-million improvement project to construct carpool lanes and a direct carpool lane connector at the I-5 and Highway 14 freeway interchange.

Where/When: Southbound Highway 14 freeway connector to northbound I-5: 10 p.m.-5 a.m.; I-5: northbound truck route collector road: 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.; One lane of the northbound truck route collector road: 5-9 a.m.; southbound Interstate 5 Balboa Boulevard off-ramp: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
