Middle school in Castaic gets new principal

Ellen Edeburn steps in as the new principal of Castaic Middle School.

 
Castaic Union School District has selected Ellen Edeburn to take over the helm as principal for Castaic Middle School.

Edeburn, a Castaic resident, has served as assistant principal at Hillside Middle School in the Simi Valley Unified School District, and as an interim assistant principal at both Canyon High School and Sierra Vista Junior High in the William S. Hart Union High School District.

She grew up in New York City and received her bachelor of arts degree from the State University of New York, Oswego. Edeburn then received her teaching credential through the University of Florida, Gainesville, and taught in Florida for 13 years.

Upon arriving in California, Edeburn joined the Hart district as a teacher at Canyon High. She is currently a candidate for doctor of education, educational leadership and policy studies, at California State University at Northridge.
