Wrong about McKeon

Jeanie La Monica ("Thanks for nothing, McKeon," March 30) got one thing right: We do need health care reform.

We do not need the current government-controlled socialized health care law that will keep our children and grandchildren in perpetual debt.

She is so wrong about Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon, R-Santa Clarita. He represents our community well and his vote absolutely reflects his concern with regard to the impact this bill would have on them.

The new socialized health care law is going to cost the taxpayers trillions, and we are not going to be able to earn the money to pay for it because we will be busy standing in line to see the doctor.

I absolutely believe that if the bill had, in fact, provided better coverage for less money, tort reform and not exempted the president, congressmen and senators (why would they want to be exempt if it is such a good bill/law of the land?) - McKeon would have been at the front of the line to vote "yes."

We believe this law must be repealed and an exhaustive bipartisan effort should be made for fair, constitutionally sound health care reform.
