Three would-be burglars suspected in 18 residential burglaries since December 2009 were arrested, after a woman called 911 and reported the men were trying to break into her home, authorities said Wednesday.

Juan Angeles, 19, and two 16-year-old males — all Canyon Country residents — were taken into custody at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 17800 block of Deanna Lane in Canyon Country.

Angeles, accused of burglary, was arraigned in Santa Clarita Courthouse on Tuesday and is being held without bail.

One of the 16-year-old suspects was arrested at Golden Valley High School on Wednesday, authorities said.

One teen was released to a parent, and the other was transported to Sylmar Juvenile Hall, authorities said.

The suspects tried to escape from the authorities on Saturday, but deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department caught them.

Detectives had been hot on the suspects’ trail and set to arrest them before they were taken into custody.

The suspects’ fingerprints were discovered at residential burglaries in the 27300 block of Red Bud Place in Canyon Country in December 2009, and again last month, at a home in the 27300 block of Rock Rose Lane in Canyon Country.

Authorities said the suspects entered through a sliding window.
