The city of Santa Clarita will host two free workshops about the Hazard Mitigation Plan as a way for city leaders to come up with ways to reduce the risk of local natural hazards.

Thursday’s workshop will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Sports Complex Activities Center. Another workshop is scheduled from 4-5 p.m. on April 29 in the first floor of Council Chambers in City Hall.

The plan includes prevention efforts that reduce the impact of natural disasters like earthquakes, wildfires and floods on residents’ lives and property.

The Sports Complex Activities Center is located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway. City Hall is located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard. For more information, call Donna Nuzzi at (661) 250-3721 or visit
