Los Angeles County -- To enhance safety and mobility, the Board of Supervisors approved a construction project to widen lanes and build a center median to separate oncoming traffic on Sierra Highway between State Route 14 and Pearblossom Highway in the unincorporated community of Acton, according to Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

With an estimated cost of over $4 million, the project is scheduled to begin early in 2011 and will be completed in approximately 10 months.
