Crime watch: Man accused of rape heads to court Monday

A Valencia man accused of raping his girlfriend Wednesday is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Timothy Woodhead, 20, was taken into custody on Wednesday after a Castaic woman accused him of raping her near Vista Valencia Golf Course. The woman was apparently Woodhead’s girlfriend.

Woodhead is currently being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in lieu of $100,000 bail, according to deputies.
