No sale, Horton

I have to respond to Gary Horton's column ("If not in intent, it's racist in deed," March 10), in which he says that those who take umbrage at City Councilman Bob Kellar's "proud racist" comment are justified in their huffy umbrage.

Sorry, Horton, no sale.

The issue would never have arisen - and Kellar never made his statement - if the knee-jerk response of people who support amnesty wasn't to accuse every single person against amnesty of "racism."

You're putting the mule behind the cart.

Nowadays the race card is flipped into play at the drop of a sombrero. It's become a laughable joke, which of course was Kellar's point.

If things are so bad here, why are people of all races flooding in?

After all, I never heard of Jews trying to break into Nazi Germany.
