Wind kicks up in the I-5 corridor

A wind advisory is in effect for the Santa Clarita Valley, especially the north-south Interstate 5 corridor, according to the National Weather Service.

Gusty winds will create a hazard for high-profile vehicles through Saturday evening

Friday's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 67.

A north-northwest wind will blow between 20 and 28 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph.

Wind will diminish Friday night to around 15 mph. The sky will be clear and the low temperature around 50.

Saturday will be sunny with a high near 78. Northeast wind will clock in around 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Saturday night looks to be mostly clear, with a low around 54. East-northeast wind will blow between 15 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Sunday will be sunny with a high near 79 and mostly clear in the evening, with a low around 54, according to the service.
