Two vehicles collided at 2:14 p.m. Wednesday on the side of the Highway 14 Freeway northbound about one-half mile north of Placerita Canyon Road, causing one to overturn on its side, authorities said.

The female driver of the overturned silver Honda Civic was on her way to pick up her daughter from school at the time.

Authorities reported she had a 12-year-old boy in her car. She was taken by ambulance to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

The boy did not suffer any injuries. The second car, driven by a man, was identified as a silver Infinity. The cars’ air bags were deployed.
