Two teen boys arrested in purse snatching

Two 17-year-old juveniles were arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly trying to steal a purse from a woman's lap at Westfield Valencia Town Center, according to Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. Bryski said the two juveniles, whose names were not released, were at the mall around 2:16 p.m. when they tried to snatch the purse of a woman sitting at the food court. The Santa Clarita and Palmdale residents then fled on foot with the purse, according to Bryski. The two made it to the intersection of Magic Mountain Parkway and Citrus Street, which is around the corner from the sheriff's station. "They made it easy for us," he said.
