Local teams score in Saugus

• Valencia, Saugus to meet in consolation semis

Both Saugus and Valencia had good enough days at the Girls Varsity Saugus Summer Tournament.

In the second games, Saugus beat Red Mesa, 72-64.

Centurions Nicole Hicks scored 26 points. Amanda Scholl added 13 points, Kaylyn Martin had 12 points.

Valencia won its game over Chaminade, 57-49.

Jenny Lentz scored 18 points and Lindsey Hill had 11 points for the Vikings. Starla Wright added 18 points.

Viewpark beat Hart, 72-53. Indian players Briana Fitchpatrick had 13 points and Britt Costanzo had 10 points.

Culver City won a close one over Saugus, 64-61.

Nicole Hicks had 20 points and Amanda Scholl had 11 points for Saugus High. Bevery Hills won Valencia, 56-51.
