Goodbye to a hero

Saturday afternoon (March 13), a community came to together to say goodbye to a fallen soldier.

Someone's son, but at that moment he was everyone's son.

I have a son in the military. He's not mine by birth, but he calls me Mom. I have been in his life since he was 2 years old. As I put my hand to my heart and tears rolled down my cheeks, I thought of all the men and women who put their lives on the line every day so you and I can have freedom.

The young man who died was not my son; at that moment he belonged to our community. He was our son.

Please support our military. You don't have to support the idea of war, but as long as others want to destroy the USA we must fight for our freedom.

You don't have to give birth to be a mom; what counts is who they call Mom.
Goodbye, hero. Love, Mom.
