Regarding “McKeon: Kellar should offer an apology” (The Signal, Feb. 3):

Mr. McKeon: as a loyal and faithful constituent of yours for these many years, I thought that you truly were in touch with your “grass roots.”

I always thought that you were one of the few elected officials to Washington who never could be accused of being a “politician.”
There has been a paradigm change in the past year, a huge upheaval of ordinary citizens who no longer wish to be viewed as unnecessary simpletons by their elected representatives.

It sure appears as if you haven’t noticed this “change.”

There are a great many folks in your district whose intelligence is being insulted by your banal request for Bob Kellar to apologize for remarks he made.

Those remarks were completely taken out of context and twisted around to suit a small group of angry activists (probably brought up from the big city and paid).

Are you so unsure of your facts that you feel the need to do “politically correct” lip service?

No. Kellar should never apologize for himself and the truth.
