Robert and Gloria Salazar of Santa Clarita celebrated their 62-year wedding anniversary at a party hosted by their children at a local restaurant.

Robert Salazar and Gloria Ferrero were married on March 4, 1948, in Los Angeles.

The couple have been residents of the Santa Clarita Valley for 22 years.

Robert Salazar is a retired cement mason and also is retired from the Los Angeles Unified School District.

The couple have five children, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Their children are Robert Salazar Jr., Patty Burgess, Marlene Salazar, Ken Salazar and Jeff Salazar.
