‘Love Is in the Air’ for Creative Guild

Fundraiser: To benefit various art programs in SCV

The third annual "Love Is in the Air" fundraiser to benefit the Santa Clarita Creative Guild will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Hyatt Regency Valencia.

The event will feature visual artists and musicians of the Santa Clarita Valley along with refreshments and desserts.

Live painting exhibitions will featuring four SCV artists: Lorelle Miller, Laura Leifield, Cecily Willis and Peggy Patti.

Ongoing live musical entertainment will spotlight various SCV musicians led by Manak & Mary Duo, RGB Jazz Quartet led by Gary Friedman with Barry Lederman, Rod Bennett and Roger Brooks and other guest musicians.

The event will also include People's Choice Awards and a competitive silent auction of artworks and gift baskets. In addition, there will be a colorful youth art display and free face painting. In celebration of the Youth Art Month an art competition for 4-12-year-old artists will be hosted by Mission Renaissance.

Creative Guild judges will be led by community art leaders: Santa Clarita Art Commissioner Sandy Fisher, art educator and journalist Jaylene Armstrong and Jeff Barber, city supervisor for art and events. Winners will be announced at the event. The show will benefit the art enrichment programs of the Santa Clarita Creative Guild for SCV Youth and SCV Senior Center.
