Health insurers are doing internal harm

For more than 30 years I'd been a registered right-wing Republican, raised by and among decorated Marine officers, USC and UCLA football all-stars/captains, with a Marine sergeant son deploying to Afghanistan for his fourth tour in six years.

He is once again putting his life on the line, not just to protect our (oh-so-taken-for-granted) freedoms of speech, religion and the pursuit of happiness in this great democracy, but ironically to defend the calculating health care corporation's continued ability to internally do more harm (historically) to more Americans, than has been done by any 9/11 terrorist or collectively all soldiers who have honorably given their lives in the line of duty in the past century.

When I hear a citizen (obvious insurance industry employee) of our fair city, complain about health care insurance company profits of only 6 percent (which he fails to mention translates to the billions and tens of billions per year, for individual companies) my heart just bleeds for such unfortunates.

My story (at www.CaliforniaCorruptionCSI.com) is too long for this forum, but it's no surprise that the Supreme Court has just ruled that the R.I.C.O. Act laws (regarding criminal racketeering) can now be used in conjunction with nailing insurance companies who tread on the same criminal ground as past groups of organized crime.
