Hoops isn’t done yet

SCV Hoops Finale: Local charity, basketball teams and Signal to put on senior game

And you thought the local prep basketball season was over.

On March 13 at Golden Valley High, locally based charity LETMESAIL, The Signal newspaper and Santa Clarita Valley's local schools will come together to put on the SCV Hoops Finale.

LETMESAIL and The Signal's SCV Hoops Finale will feature a senior girls basketball game and a senior boys basketball game with all the gate money going to LETMESAIL, a charity that provides social, recreational and educational activities for teenagers and adults with disabilities in the Santa Clarita Valley.

The game will feature players from Canyon, Golden Valley, Hart, Saugus, Valencia and West Ranch high schools as well as Santa Clarita Christian School.

The public is invited, and tickets will be on sale at Golden Valley on March 13 prior to the games.

Each ticket is $5.

The girls game will begin at 5 p.m.

Halftime will feature a girls 3-point contest.

The boys game will follow soon afterward, with an approximate start time of 6:45 p.m.

Halftime of the boys game will feature a slam dunk contest.

There will be a Most Valuable Player award presented for both games.

LETMESAIL and The Signal's SCV Hoops Finale will be televised on SCVTV beginning March 13.

SCVTV can be found on Time Warner cable channel 20 and AT&T Uverse channel 99. The game can also be accessed at SCVTV.com.
