People aren't born gay

I am responding to the column written by Nathan Imhoff ("Obama should make decisions proudly, not politically") in the Jan. 19 issue of The Signal.

He stated, "just because a person is born gay does not mean his or her identity and self-esteem should be grounded in sexuality."
My question to Imhoff is, has he ever seen any medical documentation that a person is born gay?

I worked in the medical field for more than 20 years and the doctors themselves stated that "gay" people are definitely not happy people, as the word gay once meant.

This is a conscious choice that a person makes usually around their early teens, when their hormones are running rampant and they are so confused about who they are.

Often after some sexual experimentation with the same gender, it soon becomes normal to them and they fall into the trap.
The purpose of us humans being put on this earth is to be fruitful and multiply. The homosexual lifestyle stops any procreation and eventually if everyone chose to live that way, human existence would disappear.
