Thankfully, those motorcyclists were among Santa Clarita Valley's philanthropists, as they bar-hopped throughout the SCV to benefit the Santa Clarita Hunger Defense Fund as part of the 4th Annual Renegade Classics Summer Kick Off Poker Run.
A three-hour motorcycle run starting at the Renegade Classics shop on Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country, the motorcyclist visited three bars in the outskirts of the SCV before returning back just after noon to enjoy a post-run party and concert at Route 66 Classic Grill.
Visiting Country Girl Saloon in Castaic, The Rock Inn at Elizabeth Lake and The Big Oaks in Bouquet Canyon, riders and passengers paid between $20 and $25 to participate in the motorcycle run, which included plenty of eats and drinks at the three locations.
When the participants returned, they enjoyed a tri-tip lunch at Route 66, live music by the Blue Baron Band and poker.
Sponsored by Renegated Classics, the money raised at Sunday's event benefitted the Santa Clarita facility of the Hunger Defense Fund.
