Lexus Jazz and Blues Series
- The sounds of live jazz and blues bands once again fill Town Center Drive in Valencia during the 10th annual Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series. These events feature regional, national and international entertainers in a quaint street party setting while offering interactive activities for adults and children. This year's series will run through September 5. (There is no concert on Friday, July 4.) Hours for the concerts will be 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and they will take place on Town Center Drive adjacent to the Hyatt Valencia. Throughout the scheduled series there will be a variety of interactive programming for the entire family, including a Children's Area. No pets or outside food or beverages are allowed. Admission is free. Hot rods at the COC Art Gallery - The College of the Canyons Art Gallery is holding a Hot Rod art exhibition through July 12, which will showcase car-inspired artwork from several artists. SC Ballet programs - The Santa Clarita Ballet Company and Academy will present two ballet programs on June 22 at the Performing Arts Center at the College of the Canyons. "Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass" will be offered as a matinee and during the evening the company will present "Kingdom of the Shades," "As The Piano Rolls," and a new contemporary theatre dance choreographed by Artistic Director Carol Guidry. Repertory East Playhouse fundraiser
-The REP will host Summer Evening with the REP: A New Love on Saturday, June 28 at the River Village of Valencia, starting at 7 p.m. The black tie optional fundraiser will include a petit buffet, wine bar dessert, silent auction and dancing. Shakespeare in the Park
The Repertory East Playhouse and the Canyon Theatre Guild come together to present Shakespeare in the Park on June 28 and 29 at 6 p.m. at William S. Hart Park in Newhall. All perfomances of "The Taming of the Shrew" are free. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blanket and picnic dinner.

Caregiver Resource Day
The Supportive Services Department of the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center is sponsoring a free morning symposium designed to provide assistance to the growing number of caregivers. This public service event takes place on Saturday June 28 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market St. in Newhall. This half-day symposium will focus on caregiving issues to enable the attendee to learn new skills to help manage the stresses and frustrations of caregiving, how to reestablish control over their own lives, plan for the future, and manage difficult behaviors by loved ones. Mountain Shakespeare Festival
The Mountain Shakespeare Festival will present William Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors" every weekend in July in the Commercial Center Gazebo at Pine Mountain Club in Frazier Park. The theatrical production company specializes in producing stage renditions of the works of Shakespeare, and the persons that make up the cast, crew and administration of these productions are drawn almost exclusively from the local talent base. These productions include a mixture of highly experienced professionals in theater as well as beginners of all ages. Castaic Lake programs
The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting two new programs at Castaic Lake Recreation Area. For Movies at the Lake, the community is invited to bring snacks, a comfortable chair or blanket and enjoy a family movie in Paradise Cove on the lagoon. Vehicle parking is $11 but the movie is free. Movies are scheduled for July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 5 and Oct. 3. Trail Team: First Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. Help repair trails, pick up litter and remove weeds. Fifteen minute safety orientation mandatory. Wear long pants, boots, and bring water.

Bird Walk: Second Saturday of the month. Walks start at 9 a.m. and last about two hours. They are free and there is no parking fee. Beginning bird watchers and families are welcome. Children aged 6 and older are welcome with a responsible adult. Bring binoculars and field guide.

Volunteer Orientation: First Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Learn about volunteer opportunities at the Nature Center and Park.

Community Hiking Club: A new monthly community event that invites all ages to get into the outdoors, visit wilderness areas, and stretch their legs.

Rancho Camulos Museum
Rancho Camulos Museum is a National Historic Landmark where the early California lifestyle is preserved in its original rural environment. What began as part of the 48,000 acre Mexican land grant Rancho San Francisco deeded to Antonio del Valle in 1839, is still a 1,800-acre working ranch. Rancho Camulos was also the setting for "Ramona," an 1884 novel by Helen Hunt Jackson that generated national interest in the history of Hispanic settlement in California and the impact on Native Americans. The non-profit museum is a portion of the ranch containing the main adobe, cocina, chapel, schoolhouse and beautiful grounds. Here the history and culture of the people of Camulos from the Tatavian Indians, through the del Valle family who established the rancho in the mid-1800s, to the Rubel family, who purchased the property in 1924, are preserved. The museum is located on Highway 126, 10 miles west of the I-5 freeway in Piru. (Next to the first fruit stand on the left) For information call (805) 521-1501 or visit www.ranchocamulos.org. Docent led one- hour tours are conducted Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. The suggested donation is $5 for adults and $3 for children and students.
