Valencia High's Max Homa shot a 5-over-par 76 in the final round of the American Junior Golf Association on Thursday.

Homa finished the tournament with an 8-over par 221 to finish tied for 25th out of 57 boys players.

His best performance on the week came in Tuesday's first round, when he tied for fourth place on the day at an even-par 71. In Wednesday's second round, Homa finished the day in seventh place with a 3-over-par 7.

Homa said he had been feeling ill all week and was disappointed in his performance.

"I wanted to do good and I'm frustrated that I didn't," he said.

But for Homa, the competition isn't over yet.

He will continue practicing for the Hammi Bank Junior Open at Robinson Ranch starting July 29.

Alison Lee of Valencia finished third in the girls division, with a 1-over par 143.
