My feelings about City Councilman Bob Kellar is that he hit the nail on the head.

I say the Pledge of Allegiance when asked, and it does not state Jesus, Allah, Shinto, Hindi or Buddha, it states “under God.”

Furthermore, I am an American. Not Irish-German-American, African-American, Mexican-American, Armenian-American, Dutch-American, Pole, Czech, Jew, Haitian, Cuban or any other person whom is taking advantage of the things this country has to offer.

I am also an American racist. We all, when hurt, bleed the same red blood. Whether admitting or not, when we stub out toe, we cry out “God” that hurts.

This nation was founded by people who care about this country. Remember, check the race card at the door, step up to the plate, vote and call yourself an American.

Let’s stop putting ourselves into racial, political and religious categories. We are free to believe what we want. The flag stands for all of us.

Wave it high and proud. God bless the U.S.A.
