College isn’t for everyone

Is a college education what every child needs?

Where will our qualified plumbers, electricians, roofers, carpenters, auto mechanics, independent contractors plus other trade workers be educated?

Why does our government only speak about grants for education that focuses on academics, but ignores the trades which are in great demand?

I believe we need more trade schools that will award degrees in specific fields on which consumers can rely.

I, for one, would like to know that the person rewiring my home has been thoroughly educated and qualified to install electrical wiring in my home; trained not just by the owner of the company but holding a degree granted from an accredited trade school and trained by certified electrical engineers.

It is my belief that if our government put more emphasis on trade schools we could decrease the number of children dropping out of school.

We need accredited trade schools to encourage our youth and to bring back the dynamic economy we once had. Academia is just not for everyone.
