Several minor collisions occurred Friday on the Santa Clarita Valley's rain-slicked roads, but none resulted in serious injuries, authorities said.

California Highway Patrol Officer Jose Nunez said there haven't been any collisions that stand out, though some involved property damage.
"There's been nothing with serious injuries," Nunez said.

Los Angeles County Fire Department and sheriff's officials similarly reported no major incidents.

Rain was expected through Friday night with morning showers today, according to the National Weather Service. There was a chance of thunderstorms throughout the day today, lasting until tonight, the service said.
