Deputies found a stolen truck in an oil field in Canyon Country on Tuesday afternoon after being alerted by a LoJack vehicle recovery system, officials said.

About 12:30 p.m. On Tuesday, the owner of a 1999 Ford F-350 told deputies his vehicle was stolen Monday from a construction site near the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Vasquez Canyon Road, sheriff’s officials said.

By about 2 p.m., deputies found the vehicle abandoned in the field near the intersection of Placerita Canyon Road and Sierra Highway, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Casaus.
