A meeting to strategize a local grassroots campaign to support Fair Elections held by Santa Clarita grassroots activists, community leaders and local citizens will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Caruso's, 18340 Sierra Hwy., Canyon Country 91351.

Focusing on the campaign leading up to the June election, the agenda includes:

     * Endorsements
     * Speaking
     * Tabling
     * Media
     * Canvassing
     * Phone Banking

Organizers designed the meeting to get politicians out of the fundraising game and back to solving California's problems; ensure elected officials are accountable to voters, not donors; and open up the political process so the best candidates, not just the wealthiest candidates, can pursue elected office.

Sixty-three percent of the public supports the idea of Fair Elections.
