Don't need Plambeck's preaching

Is it me, or is anyone else tired of being talked to like a three-year-old by Lynne Plambeck ("Mom, apple pie and water conservation," Jan. 28)? She calls my lawn useless and childishly reminds me to make sure to wash my dishes and clothes with a full load.

I have news for you, Plambeck. My lawn will cease to be useless when I say it is.

I don't scold you for your anti-growth and anti-business antics. I don't scold you for stupid laws that require an oak tree to be left in the middle of a golf course.

I'm an adult and not in need of your preaching on how to live my life. It's my life and if I want a lawn, by God I'll have one.

Environmentalists of your ilk are ruining this state. Just ask the Central Valley farmers for their opinion.

Pardon me, but I say jobs and food are more important than a snail, and personal freedom is more desirable than hearing your sanctimonious harping.
