The first full moon of 2010, also known as the wolf moon, was visible in the sky Friday night. In Native American tradition, the wolf moon is associated with wolves howling in the cold midwinter, according to National Geographic. The 2010 wolf moon will appear 30 percent brighter and 14 percent larger than any other full moon this year.
