Free dental clinics for local low income children will be held on Feb. 5 and April 1 in Valencia and Canyon Country from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sponsored by the Foundation for Children’s Dental Health, charter member-dentists of the “Smile Coalition” have come together to serve needy children in the community.

Local doctors who will be participating in this event are: Dr. Amy Monti of Adventure Dental at 18580 Via Princessa, Suite 3 in Canyon Country; Dr. Chris Go at 27560 Newhall Ranch Rd., Suite 309 in Valencia; and Drs. Kathleen Siu, Carla Abboud and Dean Schweitzer at 23838 Valencia Blvd., Suite 300 in Valencia.

They will be treating approximately 50 children who have been pre-identified through the Foundation’s dental screenings, and who have no access to dental care and resources.

All of the children are public school students throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.

For questions about the “Smile-Saving” event please contact Ericka Watson, executive director of the Foundation for Children’s Dental Health, at (661) 254-1600 or by e-mail at ewatson@1smileatatime.org.
