The SCV Senior Center hosts the 2010 "Celebrity Waiter Dinner" at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Hyatt Valencia to benefit the Adult Day Care Respite Program at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center.

The theme for this year's event is "Senior Prom," put on with the help of ASB Student Leaders from all the Santa Clarita Valley High Schools.

The evening will include a live auction with items such as mountain bikes, a vacation in Maui, golf at the Kaanapoli golf resort, and many more.

The adult day care program provides licensed and professional supervision for individuals with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, post-stroke challenges and other chronic conditions that may require constant supervision. The program also provides a valuable respite for caregivers who may need a break from the daily stresses of providing care, or may need time to take care of other errands and business.

The Celebrity Waiter dinner is a primary fundraiser for the Senior Center Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to raise money to support Adult Day Care, Home Delivered Meals and other funding needs at the Senior Center.

Sponsorships levels include Gold at $1800 and Platinum at $2500.
