Today, Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-Santa Clarita) joined his Republican colleagues on the Education and Labor Committee in a forum to examine the culture of favoritism by Democrats for certain powerful special interest allies in the labor unions.

The forum welcomed Steve Forbes, president and CEO of Forbes and editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine and Elaine Chao, former Secretary of Labor.

McKeon spoke directly with Forbes about his ideas on improving the nation's economic outlook.

In order to grow the economy and create jobs, Forbes recommended that Congress focus on stabilizing the dollar, lowering tax rates, avoiding nationalized health care, and lowering the capital gains tax.
