VP of Princess to speak at VIA luncheon
Julie Benson, vice president of public relations for Princess Cruises, will speak at the Valley Industrial Association's luncheon on Tuesday, starting at 11:30 a.m.

The cruise line, which relocated its world headquarters from Century City to Santa Clarita in 2001, is one of Santa Clarita's largest employers.

Benson will discuss the cruise line's impact on the local economy, along with the company's future plans.
Aside from the talk, representatives from the Los Angeles Retarded Citizens Foundation will discuss details about their musical fundraiser scheduled for Sept. 21.

The VIA luncheon will take place at the Hyatt Valencia, located at 24500 Town Center Drive in Valencia.
The business luncheon is open to the public. The cost is $40 for VIA members and $50 for nonmembers.

Valencia managers earn professional designation
Judy Saylor of Vanguard Management and L. Diane Sumner of Crown Management, both based in Valencia, have earned the California Association of Community Managers "Certified Community Association Manager" designation.

The designation is given to professional managers who have completed an in-depth educational program and have fulfilled a minimum requirement of work experience in the field of community association management.
