Liberals remind me of failed comedians

Jonathan Kraut’s column (“Looking ahead with hindsight,” Jan. 12) was truly hilarious. I simply have to respond.

You give President Barack Obama credit for the successes in Iraq, after you liberals spent years trashing former President George W. Bush for our even being there.

Regarding “Iraqis are finally governing themselves,” they had their first elections while Bush was still in office.

Meanwhile, it’s Obama who’s digging us ever deeper into the hole in Afghanistan. Where’s your criticism of that?

“Obama is reshaping the political landscape” — That may be true, and it looks like that’s not going to turn out so well for Democrats come November.

People are jumping ship to the other party and others are “retiring” because they know they’re going to get thumped at the polls next time. Check with Chris Dodd.

I really enjoyed the parts about fiscal responsibility: “Bush had not only been wasteful — responsible for $3.414 trillion of spending in 2009 — but his policies were also ineffective.”

Meanwhile the Democrats are completely destroying the economy with planned deficit and economic commitments that total north of $12 trillion.

Liberals remind me of a failed comedian, with no sense of context or irony, but an overblown measure of hypocrisy.
