Working together

About 22 years ago I worked for a pharmaceutical development laboratory in France.

Several European countries were working together to find new medicines. At the time I was working there, everyone was working on a patent for a medication treating AIDS.

I was surprised to find out because the profits from a patent are so high, the USA and Europe did not work together but against each other. It would be interesting to know if it is still happening today.

I do not know the people I worked with anymore, but maybe it could be interesting for our elected people to try to find out what is happening.

This medical field needs a lot of money. I understand that, but we all need to work together in the world to heal the ills by not duplicating the medication.

Profits from a patent will always be there, so we need to learn how to work together in the world for a profit and also for the people.
